Sunderland's Official Website has since changed their story and have confirmed that Arnau Caldentey Riera is the Barcelona player on trial.
This is confirmed in a e-mail from the website editor:
"I can confirm that there is, in fact, only one Barcelona player currently on trial with the club. His name is Arnau Caldentey Riera.
There is another Barcelona player, by the name of Oriol Riera, who is not on trial at Sunderland.
The website carried a story over the weekend that Oriol Riera was on trial. This was a genuine error and, of course, we apologise for issuing this incorrect information, which has now been corrected. I would point out that the information was supplied to the website editor informally over the weekend and we didn't get chance to formally check the players' details out until today."
