Tommy ready to take his place?

Tommy Miller is looking to force his way back into the Sunderland side after showing Roy Keane that the local lad still has something to offer the club.

Miller has banged in 5 goals for the reserves, both as a midfielder and a make shift striker.

This form hasn't escaped Roy Keane's attention and had this to say on the matter.

"Tommy Miller did well against St Patrick's, scored two goals and looked very strong".

"Every player has their chance at this club, otherwise they wouldn't be here. It's going to be difficult because the lads in the starting are doing very well, but they have to be ready to pounce is asked".

"I've chopped and changed in the past, I do rest people and if there are any las with niggles I don't tend to play them; so the lads playing the reserves this week did them selves no harm".
