Vine In Line

Reports earlier this week claimed that Vine was the subject of a successful bid from Sunderland. The Black Cats never commented on the subject but The Hatters rejected angrily to the claims, denying that any discussions about such a move had never taken place.

Since then, Birmingham's 'so-called Geordie' boss has declared an interest in signing Vine up for the Blues who currently sit at the top of the table.

"Vine has scored three goals against us," stated Bruce. "He is someone we quite like.

"He is a good player."

As well as Sunderland and Birmingham - Norwich, Cardiff and West Brom are said to be keen admirers.
