Sunderland Ladies have had an amazing season this season, with Sunderland forward Beth Mead being one of the leading lights not only at SAFC but in ladies football.
Since joining the Sunderland ladies side Beth has scored 77 goals in 78 appearances, which is a fantastic record by anyone’s standard. Having scored 12 of those goals in Sunderland’s first adventure in the WSL 1, after being promoted last season.
Although she has been previously over looked by England Senior ladies side, despite being one of the best goal scorers in the ladies league. Beth was eventually called up to the England senior side, to play in the international friendly tournament in China.
Beth is also now in the running for goal of the season, for her goal against Nottingham.
