Sunderland AFC have today confirmed that Scottish winger Ross Wallace completed a permanent move to Preston North End.

Ross Wallace
Wallace originally signed for Sunderland on the 31st August 2006 from Celtic by Roy Keane, and scored the winner on his debut against Derby. Wallace was a first team regular until falling out of favour with Roy Keane, it was reported that Keane would listen to any offers for Wallace. But in January 2008 Wallace suffered a setback in damaging his knee ligaments, which caused him to miss the rest of the 07/08 season.

Wallace joined Preston North End on loan at the start of this current season having impressed boss Alan Irvine, making 26 appearances and scoring 3 goals.

Wallace has signed a four and a half year deal, for an undisclosed fee.
