Yet More Signings

Keane has already spent around £3.5million since the January transfer window opened and he has 16 more days to bring in whatever else he desires.

With Stephen Wright and Nyron Nosworthy injury-prone as well as Kenny Cunningham, Steve Caldwell and Stan Varga - Keane will be looking for a right-back and may even be contemplating a move for another central defender. One thing for sure is that Ross Wallace doesn't like playing in defence, so a left-back could also be on the cards. Sounds like a whole new defence to me although, if yesterday's performance is anything to go by then we have no need for any more defenders on the wage bill. A back two comprising of right-back Nyron Nosworthy and loanee Jonny Evans were more than sound whilst stand-in defender, Dean Whitehead has impressed in the right-back position of late.

Keane said: "I'd still like to bring in one or two more players. That's all we are short of now."

Sensationally, with one of the best strike forces in the league (on paper), Keane has revealed his desire to bring in another striker,

"With Steady and Browny leaving last week, we maybe need to look for another striker. But other than that I'm reasonably happy."
