The search for the new manager

The hunt for the new manager of Sunderland AFC is now on, Chairman Niall Quinn has the daunting task of finding the right man who can hopefully drag the club out of the bottom three of the Premier League.

Rumours are rife amongest football fans since the moment Keane's resignation was made official, everyone from Gordon Strachan to Phil Brown and bookies favourite Sam Allardyce have been circulated.

Recent press reports have indicated that Allardyce has an interest in the vacant position, with today's reports also adding that ex West Ham and Charlton manager Alan Curbishley is also interested in the vacant manager's job.

The vacant managers job at Sunderland AFC is an attractive proposition for any potential manager, as a team Sunderland have the quality to be a strong and capable force in the Premier League, they just need to be guided in the right direction. Off the pitch any new manager will have a fantastic board to back them up, the Drumaville Consortium lead by Niall Quinn who is Red and White through and through who has the best at heart for the club, undoubtedly the new manager will have the funds made available for any changes they wish to make to the squad.
