Centre back John Mensah has been ruled out of this Sundays game against Fulham with a calf injury the same problem that kept him out of many Sunderland games.
Manager Steve Bruce commented, "John Mensah hurt his calf in training and I can't see him being fit.
"It's a concern, it's a huge concern."
