Darren Byfield has had his contract offer cancelled by Sunderland.
Sunderland had offered the pacey stiker a new contact , which he had rejected and requested a better offer.
Sunderland have rejected the demands and also withdrawn their orginal offer.
This could indicate that Sunderland are ready to make a move for either Sam Parkin (Swindon), Eliseu (Belenenses) or Silva (PSV).
Both the young Portugal fowards clubs are beleived to be close on deciding if they will permit their players to leave. Sam Parkin on the other hand will be a harder fish to catch with Swindon short on fowards and not short on cash!
