So there has been an awful lot of news about Sunderland coming out of Italy recently, the latest one is that the Black Cats have lost their battle with Inter Milan over Ricky Alvarez.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have wrote a report calming that Inter have won the decision over Sunderland regarding Ricky Alvarez.

They have quoted “FIFA have decided after examining all the paperwork in the case that Inter were correct, Sunderland refused to pay Inter the agreed upon 10.5 million euros.”

Alvarez is currently playing at Sampdoria where he has played pretty much injury free.

The Italian giants are also said that they want their money before the summer transfer window, in which they could use it to put into their own transfer kitty.

Now Inter want the money to be paid in July so as to be able to spend them on transfers, but it is very likely that Sunderland will appeal the decision.
