The Black Cats are in Hong Kong to face Spurs in the Asia Trophy. At a pre-match press conference, head coach Paolo Di Canio said the Argentinian defender Peruzzi failed his medical examination.
To make matters worse, Spurs also confirmed there is no chance of Danny Rose joining the Black Cats this summer, despite his successful loan spell on Wearside last season.
