The Sunderland Prophet - Sunderland V Crewe Alexandra

Crewe Alexandra
Saturdays result is far from what I expect as the final score. The match was played how I expected though, with two fully commited teams going head to head with plenty of blood and thunder. George McCartney should be shot and dropped for the coming match against Crewe.

As far as a starting line-up goes, I'm expecting a few changes agaist Crewe and you can be sure that the lads will be looking to put things right after Saturday. Im expecting Arca to drop into left back and Whitehead to make his debut on the wing. Oster will start, but I expect Lawrence replace him at some point as he impressed me with what he did on Saturday, reminds of a certain David Beckham in looks and with his football. You may also see Whitley drop to the bench with Sean Thornton coming in at inside right and Robinson moving to inside left, to give the team more attacking options. Kyle and Stewart will start, but I'd like to see Elliott start along side Kyle personally. You can see that Elliott has the ability, but I felt the boy was just trying too hard, a bit like Micky Proctor.

I'm expecting the lads to win this one and win it well. We've never been a team quick of the mark, but you'll see the lads step up a gear tomorrow night. Especially if Mr Arca and Oster get their act together. We all know they're better than what they had to offer on Saturday.

Starting eleven: Poom, Wright, Breen, Clarke, Arca, Oster, Robinson, Thornton, Whitehead, Stewart and Kyle.

Subs: Alnwick, Williams, Whitley, Lawrence and Elliott.

Score: SUNDERLAND AFC 3 CREWE ALEXANDRA 1

Scorers: KYLER, ELLIOTT AND LAWRENCE.
