"We have created chances, looked threatening and looked as if we wanted to play. We started the game without the so-called dread of playing at the Stadium of Light.
"As for Kevin, he has had more chances than in any of the games since he came back from injury.
"On Saturday he had four or five and scored twice, yet today he had more chances than that, but couldn't score.
"I'm guessing if he has the same amount of chances against Southampton on Saturday then he will score again, but on this occasion today you have to give credit to a very good goalkeeper.
"But undoubtedly it was Kevin's best performance. I think he - touch wood - has turned the corner, with the injury now a distant memory."
